We found an interview Keenan did 14 years ago! As it was for a French Magazine (ChevalMag), we translated it, so it would be easier for you to understand. Let's go into the interview now!
Chevalmag: What's your best memory on the set?
Keenan: My best memory is definitely when I met Sophie Bennett and Lara Jean Marshall for the first time!
Cm: What were the most difficult moments on the set?
KM: When we are filming an emotional scene, it's really hard for me to focus if I don't fell the same feelings as my character. You know, it's really difficult to make it looks real.
Cm: Are Pine Hollow Stables real stables, or just a set location?
They are real stables, near to Melbourne in Australia!
"I feel really close to Starlight"
Cm: Did you get attached to the horse who plays "Starlight"?
KM: Yeah, I feel really close to Starlight. He's really kind and beautiful. I love spending time with him.
Cm: Did you have a stunt woman when you were riding sometimes?
KM: Yeah, but only when I had to fall off or when you have a high jump to make.
Cm: Are there any problems with the horses when filming?
KM: No, because we have amazing professionals who are here to help us. The horses are always glad to film.
Cm: Do the horses like to play in front of the camera?
KM: They are great and cool in front of the camera, but they don't really like microphones and lightning.
Cm: In real life, are you friends with the girls who play Stevie and Lisa?
KM: Of course, we are really close! We spend a lot of time together. We all love riding, watching movies and doing some shopping, all the things teenagers love to do.
Cm: Did you know how to ride before playing in The Saddle Club?
KM: A bit. I started taking lessons when I learnt I would play Carole. But before starting filming, we all had riding lessons to help us.
Cm: Do you have your own horse?
KM: I would totally love to have my own horse! But I know that this is an important
responsibility. I'm always travelling between Canada and Australia, that's why I think it wouldn't be responsible to own a horse, that would be kinda selfish too.
Cm: How do you manage your career and your studies at the same time?
KM: I have a private teacher, she helps me with my school work and my studies and I need to. My parents help me a lot too, they think that studies are really important.
Cm: What are the common points between you and Carole?
KM: Actually, we are really different but I like Carole. But she knows horses a lot more than I do, even if we love them as much.
Cm: What are your hobbies?
KM: I love singing, riding, and spending a lot of time with my friends and my family, mostly my younger brother.
Cm: What's your biggest dream?
KM: My biggest dream is to continue being an actress and owning a lot of animals as I love them so much and above all a lot of horses! I would love to be a stylish as well, as I love fashion!
