Keenan on Carole
“I think Carole really knows what her priorities are and at this point of her life, horses are the most important things. In this series, she will probably become more interested in boys because as you grow up, that happens. Carole is really smart and she knows an amazing lot about horses. She is a really loving girl, always thinking about the other girls, not herself and she is passionate about The Saddle Club. I think she and I share one trait – she is affectionate and so am I.”
Sophie on stevie
“Stevie is passionate about horses and she has an unusual fashion style. I love clothes and design but my style wouldn’t be the same as hers. She is quite independent and so am I. Stevie is outgoing whereas I am a little shy at first until I get to know people.”
Lara on Lisa
“Lisa is a really organized person. I wouldn’t wear the same clothes she does and Lisa certainly wouldn’t do some of the wacky things I do with my hair. She has a big heart and she gets hurt easily. She is always there for her friends and she is utterly devoted to the club. I can imagine being friends with someone like Lisa.”

And he uses words like "entrepreneur", "marketing strategies" and "entertainment industry" when he is trying to set up a deal for the girls' singing career, and it is really just talk. But he is a nice guy and would never betray his friends."
Matylda on Dorothée
"She is at first wrongly seen as cold-hearted and mean. But she has just arrived from France, where she was their National Junior champion. She probably pushed her horse too hard and had a fall while in a competition and she now has a limp. Dorothée is traumatized by this and is sent to Pine Hollow to recuperate. Once she lets her defenses down, she is seen to be really compassionate and warm."

"Mrs Reg has a down to earth approach to life which springs from a great love of the land and the animals and people around her. She is an enjoyable character to play because of this. She also has a little eccentricity and horse whispering thrown in."
